Deputies Issue Warrants On Two Suspects After Chop Shop Bust In Caldwell County

HUDSON, NC — Deputies have issued warrants on two suspects after stolen vehicles and registration plates from several North and South Carolina counties were found Monday during a search.

Warrants were issued Wednesday for 41-year-old Ryan McRee and 39-year-old Tiffany Brown. They’re both facing charges of 3 counts Felony Possess Stolen Motor Vehicle. McRee also faces a charge of 1 count Felony Alter/Destroy/Etc Stolen MV/Part.

The search was conducted at a shop on Tom Calloway Lane as part of an investigation into possible chop shop activity. Deputies say they found multiple stolen vehicles and multiple stolen registration plates while executing a search warrant.

According to investigators, the property was reported stolen out of several counties including Simpsonville, SC, Catawba County, Wilkes County, Caldwell County, and Lincoln County.

Officials say Brown is currently in Catawba County custody on other charges. McRee has not yet been located.
